The Welding Institute’s Southern Counties Branch are offering prizes in their annual Virtual Welding Competition, as well as free Professional Membership for all entrants.
The competition is taking place at The Tank Museum at Bovington in Dorset, UK, on 15 June 2024 and is open professionals, apprentices, trainees and even non-welders to enter.
With different categories depending on your level of experience and multiple cash prizes available in each category, this is a good opportunity for you to test your skills, win some prizes, and get free annual membership of The Welding Institute all in one go.
Because the competition is virtual, there is no need to have any prior experience to enter and it is completely safe no matter what your level of skill!
The event, which is being run by Welding Institute volunteers, will also allow you free entry to The Tank Museum, a buffet lunch, and discounted rates for family members to come along too.
The Tank Museum houses 300 military machines representing key battles from every major conflict since World War One, tracing the story of the tank from its invention and deployment in the mud of the Somme in September 1916 through to its continued use today.
Everyone is welcome to join the Institute’s Southern Counties Branch for what promises to be a very interesting, exciting, and enjoyable day.
