Engineers & Scientists

One of TWI's major products is contract Research and Development, and for this the organisation depends on the skills of its Project Leaders and Project Managers.  Examples of roles include process development engineers working to create and refine the next generation of joining technology for industry; structural integrity engineers who assess fabricated structures for fitness-for-purpose; materials scientists who correlate joining processes with structural integrity through an understanding of materials issues.   There is also a strong emphasis on innovation with many new ideas coming directly from our Project Leaders, such as Friction Stir Welding.
