The Welding Institute is the leading professional engineering institution responsible for the professional registration and certification of welding and joining personnel worldwide.  

As a Licensed Member of the Engineering Council, The Welding Institute has a responsibility to nominate and submit appropriately qualified candidates for registration as Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, or Engineering Technician.
