Lead-free: TWI prepares for new legislation
Connect, no.97, November - December 1998, p.6
The new millennium will see the implementation of environmental legislation which will ban a large number of materials, one of which is lead.
The development of new processes and materials will be essential by 2004. In preparation for this, TWI is undertaking a study on the wettability mechanisms for lead-free solders on lead-free metallised surfaces.
We are seeking the assistance of Member companies to supply components for analysis, in particular lead-free solder. Can you help?
