Insights into funding opportunities

TWI has extensive experience in identifying and bringing different sources of funding together to enable unique opportunities to be pursued.

These projects are generally undertaken in response to calls for proposals issued by public sector funding agencies, namely: European Commission (Framework research projects), DTI (research projects and knowledge transfer networks) and regional funding agencies within the UK (research, infrastructure and technology transfer).

We also have experience in carrying out Group Sponsored Projects (GSP) which is a work programme of mutual interest to a number of organisations (TWI member companies) each contributing to fund the work. Typically, there are five to twenty collaborators for a project. The benefits of being involved in a GSP is that you receive substantially more results for your money than could be obtained by single company sponsorship and you may use the information gained to further your own business interests.
