Lasers allow fast processing of materials, and thanks to the ability of the laser beam to be focused to a small spot size (down to 7µm with the new generation of fibre lasers), they can be used for micro manufacturing. Processing could be welding, drilling, cutting or ablation of materials.

With its range of low power lasers (up to 500W), the Microtechnology team can help in developing new procedures but also offer trouble-shooting services for processing of small and/or thin materials.
