Resistance Welding
| Resistance welding fine-pitch copper interconnections |
|
Small scale resistance welding is used extensively in electronic packaging and sensor/transducer assembly. This joining process uses both heat and pressure to form a weld, the heat being generated by the resistance of the materials to the flow of electric current. The main advantages of resistance welding are that it is a low-cost, well proven process capable of producing joints quickly and reliably.
