Expertise

Industry-aligned R&D and technical support through applications development and problem solving have established TWI as a major source of expertise in thermography. Recent project work has included:

• detection of defects in large composite structures
• on-line monitoring for welding process optimisation
• detection of hot-spots in electronic circuitry
• inspection of thermally sprayed coatings
