TWI technical workshop event:

STAINLESS STEEL FABRICATION - FOCUS ON THE ENERGY SECTOR

on Wednesday 19 November 2008, 08:30 - 13:00 (includes lunch)
at Scottish Enterprise, Apex House, 99 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh, EH12 5HD

Earlier this year in Preston (Lancs.), this workshop attracted a capacity audience. We therefore urge you not to delay enrolment as places are limited.

Workshop objectives
A good understanding of the different stainless steel grades, their suitability for particular environments and how to fabricate with them is vital to success. This workshop gets right to the heart of the matter by examining these key issues: characteristics of stainless steels; materials selection; welding and fabrication best practice; quality; and post-fabrication finishing.

The workshop's objectives are to -

  • promote good design and fabrication in stainless steel;
  • highlight, with examples, what can be achieved by applying best practice;
  • provide an introduction to development and support services.
