Welsh Assembly Government funds 24/7 access to technical information
Thanks to Welsh Assembly Government funding, Wales-based engineering manufacturing companies have no-cost access to a massive store of up-to-date, expert technical information on TWI's website - please use your login to get the most out of this information.

Here are just four examples of the kind of best practice/technology information available:
Health & safety in the fabrication shop
Adhesive bonding
Surface coatings and treatments
Weldability of aluminium alloys.

In the next e-bulletin we'll be looking at information on:

Up to 7 days of in-depth technical assistance at no cost
Under Joining Forces Wales 2, up to seven days technical assistance, practical know-how or training for engineering manufacturing companies is paid for by the Welsh Assembly Government.

In-depth assistance is provided by TWI Ltd, which has similar programmes operating successfully in Scotland and in the North West, North East and South Yorkshire regions of England. Expert assistance is tailored to the needs of each company but here are some examples of what you could use it for:

  • troubleshooting production and quality problems
  • developing more efficient manufacturing techniques to increase productivity and reduce costs
  • enhancing workforce skills
  • exploring more effective technologies, designs and materials
  • accelerating innovation to bring a new product to market.
