How can I use my free technical support?
REMTEC free technical support is flexible and will be tailored to meet your needs. Here are a few examples of how companies have used their free technical support:

- troubleshoot production problems and address quality issues; define requirements for training & qualification and develop skills
- optimise processes for increased productivity and reduced costs; develop more efficient manufacturing techniques; explore more effective technologies and improved designs;

What does my free technical support package include?
Consultancy using TWI specialists and laboratories is the cornerstone of REMTEC Technology Transfer. This is backed-up by the Helpdesk, tel 01223 899 299, for advice and information. And there's 24/7 technical information on TWI's website - if you do not have a login please complete the online registration form on TWI's website (it's very quick and easy to do).

REMTEC Technology Transfer covers: all welding and materials joining processes and allied technologies; all engineering materials - metals, composites, plastics, etc; and all areas of engineering and manufacturing.

Is my company eligible for free technical support?
REMTEC Technology Transfer is for SMEs in the UK's North East. It's not only for companies already serving the renewable energy sector but also progressive businesses with the potential to supply products and services to this strategically important, growth industry.

TWI is already engaged with around 40 firms in the region. Companies wishing to benefit from the free services are encouraged to make contact with TWI as soon as possible.. .
