REMTEC Technology Transfer
Funded by One NorthEast - the Regional Development Agency
e-bulletin: May 2008
Welcome to REMTEC e-bulletin no.5. If you missed any of the previous issues, they're on TWI's website.
In the fifth (May 2008) issue:
- Make sure your company is on the prestigious REMTEC listing
- Getting started with Environmental Management and Equal Opportunities policies
- 24/7 access to high quality technical information
Your company name and a link to your website in a special listing on the
REMTEC Technology Transfer web-pages
This is a good way of bringing your company and its products and services to the attention of other organisations within the
REMTEC and broader business communities. You will not have to pay for this, it's funded by One NorthEast.
If you're involved with REMTEC and give your consent, we'll be pleased to include your company's name and a link to your website. To get listed, e-mail sarah.welch@twi.co.uk (if you haven't already done so) with your web address. You can view the list - currently, around 60 companies are included.
Environmental Management and Equal Opportunities policies
Beyond avoiding prosecution, it's widely recognised that tangible business benefits arise from having effective policies. With environmental management, payback can include reduced operating costs, improved reputation amongst
customers and the public, and work from organisations that require business partners to manage their environmental impacts effectively.
But where do you start when developing effective policies? Within the REMTEC web pages there are links to guidance on Environmental Management and Equal Opportunities policies: to the links.
Access to high quality information on TWI's website
