First Official Representatives Induction Day

TWI recently held its first Official Representatives Induction day entitled 'Making the most of TWI'.

The event was attended by 20 representatives from Industrial Member companies across a wide range of industry sectors. The Official Representative, within a TWI Industrial Member company, is key to ensuring the relationship is successful and that organisations gain maximum value from their association with TWI.

The day's objective was to introduce all TWI services including Information Services, Weldasearch, website, Collaborative and Group Sponsored Projects, and Intellectual Property plus training and Professional Membership. The day concluded with an overview of the Technology and Service Groups at TWI and a site tour. There was also an opportunity for pre-arranged meetings with TWI experts to discuss specific technical issues.

The event was very well received. Alan Popiolkowski of Novellus Systems said: 'A very worthwhile course, a lot for one day, but should be done by all new Members. Well done!'.
