The UK Health and Safety Executive is a government organisation charged with ensuring that risks to people's health and safety from work activities are properly controlled. Their web site
includes information on their publications, services and research activities, an online enquiry service, and links to other sites. In English with part in Welsh also.

HSE Direct aims to provide the most authoritative source of UK health and safety information. Parts of the site are only available to subscribers. The free area includes daily news summaries,
all HSE press releases, health and safety conference diary, useful contacts and HSE free publications. The subscription area includes background information on health and safety in the workplace, HSE guidance series, UK and European
legislation, HSE forms and summaries of selected health, safety and environment cases.
