COMAH compliance achieved by using TWI's RBI Service

Recent regulatory changes have brought many more installations under the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations (SEVESO II). This means that a risk analysis, for a lower or top tier site is a legal requirement to understand and predict the circumstances that may lead to a major accident and the potential consequences of such an accident.

COMAH applies to facilities which use or store significant quantities of dangerous substances (oil products, natural gas, chemicals, etc). Many power companies throughout the UK (particularly gas turbine operators having diesel/distillate storage facilities) are now required to comply.

TWI's Risk-based Inspection (RBI) planning service which includes RISKWISE TM , risk analysis software, enables the rigorous implementation of the best practice outlined by the HSE. Using RISKWISE immediately benefits the operator in demonstrating COMAH compliance.

RISKWISE can also facilitate economic benefits by reducing plant inspection downtime.
