Next generation nuclear fission plantThe UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) is creating a programme of research projects aimed at Keeping the Nuclear Option Open (KNOO) in the UK. The research projects are aimed at addressing some of the important questions that the UK nuclear industry could face in the next decades and will provide knowledge and experience for younger researchers to play their part in the future. BNFL and other leading companies are supporting the programme. The EPSRC has recognised TWI as one of the main key stakeholders in nuclear technology and has asked TWI to act as an adviser to its programme in the Materials area, particularly with regard to joining and fabrication issues. TWI is applying its experience and expertise to a programme of possible projects under discussion. Contact us at: power@twi.co.uk Copyright ©2005 TWI Ltd |
