Expertise
Industry-aligned R&D and technical support through applications development and problem solving have established TWI as a major source of expertise in thermography. Recent project work has included:- detection of defects in large composite structures
- on-line monitoring for welding process optimisation
- detection of hot-spots in electronic circuitry
- inspection of thermally sprayed coatings
- inspecting flaws in hot plate welded service pipework
