Application, Process Development and Prototyping
Friction stir welding is an emerging technology. Therefore, in most cases it is outside the experience base of the customer organization. To manage this and allow the customer to enjoy the benefits of a proposed friction stir welding application, the Friction Stir Link, Inc. team can provide services from weld process development to prototyping. These projects will include FSW weld tool design and development of weld process parameters for the application, fixture engineering and fabrication, and manufacturing of the prototypes.

Equipment and Production
After the development of a FSW process, FSL can launch the manufacture of parts and assemblies for the customer, or when appropriate, specify, build and install equipment.
