forceArc

EWM forceArc reduces production costs by half

Metal-inert gas/metal-active gas (MIG/MAG) welding is taken to a new dimension due to the application-oriented control variants of the new, fully digital PHOENIX (300 to 520 amperes) machine series, which is also offered as a modular system. The process reduces production times by about 30 percent, but in addition to this also provides significant savings in shielding gas, filler material and power. Since its presentation in autumn 2006, the machine/process combination from M¿ndersbach, Germany has become a sales hit - satisfied users of this new process from the steel, metal, machine and plant construction, vehicle, rail car, equipment, container and ship construction industries are reporting overall savings of up to 50 percent when joining low- and high-alloy steels as well as aluminium and aluminium alloys in metal sheets of over five millimetre thickness.
