Coherent Introduces New High Reliability CO₂ Lasers

The low power, CW, sealed CO₂ lasers in the new DIAMOND™ C Series are designed for high reliability operation in OEM applications. Four (4) air-cooled models and four (4) water-cooled models with output powers of 30W, 40W, 55W and 70W at 10.6 µm are available. Amplitude stability is ±5% for A/C models and ±3% for H2O units. Output beam characteristics are excellent - M2 <1.2 for the 30W and 55W systems, and M2 <1.3 for the 40W and 70W models. All have a 24-month warranty and no gas refill requirements. Applications include: marking plastics, paper, medical packaging, PC boards, and low-cost semiconductor products; engraving award plaques, keypads, rubber stamps, stone and tile products; and various applications involving textiles and textile-related products.
