Advanced GTAW Power Source

The unique InterPulse advanced TIG welding power source, developed by the VBC Group Ltd, is built in their Wellingborough factory.

The InterPulse TIG power source supplies a highly constricted, fine welding arc and is designed for the salvage welding of "difficult-to-weld" gas turbine superalloy precision investment hot-section castings. Low localised thermal damage and minimised residual stress enables such materials as IN738, CMSX4-10, R142, Mar M 247 and many similar nickel alloys with a high volume fraction of precipitated second phase to be welded.

The InterPulse is also used for out-of-chamber titanium fabrication and with minimal trailing shield protection.
