The machine shown has 10Ton capacity and can weld cross sectional area of 1000sqmm. medium carbon steel.
Oscillation is imparted mechanically through a crank driven by spindle motor and drive.
Amplitude : 3mm

Advantages:
Short weld time for any shape and size of jobs possible, since the entire portion is heated simultaneously, unlike rotary friction welding, where the center is heated by conduction and not by friction.
