The 38th Aerospace Industry Panel meeting

The 38^th Aerospace Industry Panel meeting took place at TWI on the 14^th March. It was attended by 22 Industrial Members from 7 different countries, with presentations from MIC on shot peening and peen forming, and TWI staff on additive manufacture by linear friction welding, electron beam probing, high productivity laser powder bed deposition and guided wave technology for SHM.

The afternoon session started with an introductory presentation by TWI's Director of Research Paul Woollin on the 2013-2015 Core Research Programme (CRP), followed by an excellent brainstorming session with the Industrial Members and TWI staff generating ideas for the CRP.

TWI is giving 6 technical papers at the Aeromat conference in Charlotte, NC, USA (18-21 June 2012), and is exhibiting at the forthcoming Farnborough Air Show (9-15 July 2012).
