These two parts of BS 3889 have been replaced by BS EN 10246. The national forewords of these implementations of European standards, stated that when all relevant parts of BS EN 10246 were published the two parts of BS 3889 would be withdrawn.

The time has now come and therefore the above parts are now withdrawn.

The above draft standards have been circulated under the CEN UAP procedure. Although neither of these ISO standards has yet been published, the UK approved both the drafts at the DIS stage, with editorial comments.

Because of the UK approval of ISO 14270 and ISO 14273, prEN ISO 14270 and prEN ISO will not be circulated as drafts for Public Comment and the UK will return positive votes on them.

If prEN ISO 14270 and prEN ISO 14273 are ratified, they will be implemented as BS EN ISO 14270 and BS EN ISO 14273. No existing British Standards will be superseded. WEE/2
