DTI: From Quality to Excellence This website consists of a series of introductory pages with further detailed information on each section provided in files which can be downloaded. They include; the evolution of quality; information on the theory of quality gurus; total quality management (TQM); and processes, tools and techniques. It also includes a useful list of quality support organisations, with links to their websites.

BSI (British Standards Institution) The BSI website includes information on the various services offered, such as standards production and sales; commodity testing and analysis; product testing; UK small business support; training and assessment and certification to standards such as ISO 9001, ISO14001 and many others.

American Society for Quality site has details of the history of quality development in America, and of the Society. It also includes useful basic information on quality systems and its benefits, and membership and certification details. There is also a store allowing access to publications, e-learning and conference registration.

Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA) is the leading professional body for the advancement of quality practices in the UK. The website gives information on education, membership and publications and the information provided by the organisation.

European Organisation for Quality (EOQ) is the co-ordinating body for its member organisations, and offers information about the organisation; quality personnel registration; details of several quality systems and how to gain competence; events information an online chat room and congress details.

UKAS has on its site an overview of accreditation and certification bodies, a description of accreditation, a list of training bodies and a list of accredited testing and calibration laboratories. The site also holds technical documents for testing laboratories.
