World Standards Services Network (WSSN) This network of publicly accessible World Wide Web servers of standards organisations around the world is a good starting point for finding national standards. It also includes some international and regional/continent-wide organisations such as the African Regional Organisation for Standardisation and the ASEAN Consultative Committee for Standards and Quality.

Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR) This site offers information in French and English on activities, publications, products and services including standards, certification and training offered.

American National Standards Institute (ANSI) The organisation operates the National Standards Systems Network and aims to offer a variety of services to enable users to find standards and standards-related information online. By offering a single access point, users can search and browse through the hundreds of standards providers and standards information providers catalogues and abstracts about information available. Includes Electronic Standards Store.

British Standards Institution (BSI) Brief information is included on their activities in standards, product certification, testing, quality assurance and training, plus a listing of their products and services and contact addresses. They offer a Standards Online service where registered users can obtain bibliographic information and order hard copies of standards and subscribers can view or download standards.

German Institute for Standardization (Deutsches Institut fur Normung) (DIN) This site is in German and partly in English. It includes a searchable online database for DIN Standards, ISO Standards and VDI Directives plus online ordering, leading to Beuth Verlag, the sales outlet for DIN.

Japanese Industrial Standards Committee (JISC) The organisation gives information in English and Japanese on its structure and activities, including the development of standards and accreditation of testing laboratories and information on the World Trade Organisation agreement on technical barriers to trade and the APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation sub-committee on standards and performance.
