A service for Members, designed to direct you towards major web sites that will be of value to your company. Only a small proportion of useful links can be listed in the Bulletin. More links.
The following is a selection of the most useful websites for those involved in joining and fabrication for the oil and gas industry.
American Petroleum Institute (API) - The site is divided into three main parts: energy consumer, media center and energy professional. The energy professional section includes industry statistics, publications, environmental reports, meetings, training and access to the API Publications and Standards catalogues. There is a search interface which allows you to find the standard you need, and then purchase it through the site either in paper or electronic form. There are easy ways of checking the newest publications on a particular area of interest, and you can sign up for an API subscription.

American Gas Association (AGA) - AGA is the American association representing the energy utility companies that supply natural gas throughout the United States. Maintenance of codes and standards is one of its essential activities, and of particular interest are standards on pipelines. www.aga.org/
Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS) - In the USA this organisation works with the oil and natural gas pipeline industries to improve safety and environmental protection cost-effectively. The code of federal regulations, which are written as minimum performance standards, are available online, as are small gas systems manuals and advisory bulletins and an online library of relevant documentation.
