Presidential visit to TWI

American Welding Society President, Shirley Bollinger recently visited TWI together with the Deputy Executive Director, Jeff Hufsey.

The two visitors met Bevan Braithwaite, Chief Executive of TWI, and Tim Jessop, Associate Director of Professional Affairs.

The visit marked the occasion of the first examinations being held which link the welding inspector certification schemes of the two organisations. Under this arrangement inspectors qualified under one scheme can sit a short'bridging' examination to achieve the parallel qualification in the other. Eight CSWIP certificate holders took the examination at Great Abington, under the supervision of Jeff Hufsey.
