Government gives green light to TWI Certification Ltd

The DTI has recently given the go-ahead to TWI Certification Ltd as a Recognised Third Party Organisation for assessing compliance with the Pressure Equipment Regulations. This authorisation followed an audit of the relevant systemsand procedures by UKAS in late 1999.

TWI Certification Ltd can therefore arrange to carry out welder and welding procedures assessments for companies wishing to comply with the Pressure Equipment Regulations using recognised standards such as EN 287 and EN 288. Infuture all manufacturers of pressure equipment will have to comply with these regulations and will need the services of a DTI-approved organisation.

This authorisation enhances the services TWI Certification Ltd can offer to organisations needing approved welders and procedures whatever the application. All certificates carry the TWI Certification Ltd and CSWIP stamps; two marksof unparalleled status in the field of welding certification. TWI Certification Ltd can also provide assistance with weld procedure development and determining Range of approval to minimise the number of approval tests.
