Royal Television Society rewards TWI team

CONTACT, the news programme of TWI, was awarded first prize by the Royal Television Society in category six of the honours.

At a glittering gala awards ceremony fronted by 'breakfast broadcasters' Tricia Williamson and Patrick Anthony, the programme's editor, John Dadson, accepted the accolade on behalf of TWI.

The award citation read that; 'clarity had been brought to complex scientific subject matter through outstanding photography and effective scripting'.

'Acknowledgment by your industry peers is the greatest commendation of all' John told Connect. 'The huge prestige attached to this award accurately reflects the enormous talents of our chaps in the front line, Brian Smith, Simon Condie and Roy Smith'.
