Plant Integrity wins LNG contract

Plant Integrity Ltd has secured a pipework inspection contract with a large storage facility for liquid natural gas (LNG).

Teletest Long Range Ultrasonic Technology will be used to assess the condition of pipework at the storage facility for Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) at Partington, near Manchester, UK. Natural gas from offshore production is liquefiedand stored at -180°C prior to its release onto the national network.

The work was won against strong competition from a major UK inspection company, who operate similar technology. If successful, Advantica plan to repeat the exercise at four other locations in the UK and other overseasinstallations.
