The International Centre - Bahrain will now be looking after all TWI business in the State of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following signing of an agency agreement in 1996.
The agreement will run for an initial period of two years and will cover promotion of all TWI services including: membership, consultancy, contract R&D, management consultancy, training & certification and conferences &exhibitions.
Training courses are already well established with Welding Inspector, Painting Inspector, Pipeline Failure, Welding Technology and Corrosion courses running through the Autumn and an extensive programme planned for 1997.
WELDTECH '97 - the Gulf International Conference on Welding & Materials Joining Technology (Holiday Inn, Bahrain, 18-20 November 1997) is the first major event organised by TWI in association with the International Centre -Bahrain and is co-sponsored by The Saudi Arabian Section of the American Welding Society, under the patronage of The Minister of Labour and Social Affairs - State of Bahrain.
