It was attended by 22 Industrial Members from seven different countries, with presentations on shot peening and peen forming, additive manufacture by linear friction welding, electron beam probing, high productivity laser powder bed deposition and guided wave technology.

The afternoon session started with an introductory presentation by TWI’s Director of Research Paul Woollin on the 2013-2015 Core Research Programme (CRP), followed by an excellent brainstorming session with the Industrial Members and TWI staff generating ideas for the CRP.
