The Health Tech & Medicines Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) is a UK Technology Strategy Board business support initiative established to improve collaboration and innovation adoption in the broad healthcare market. It particularly works to support UK business and subsequently the UK economy but does so by building new collaborations between businesses, academia and the clinical base. Its scope spans medical devices, diagnostics and imaging, biopharmaceuticals processing, regenerative medicines and other key areas where knowledge transfer is key.
The Core Partners are: TWI, BIA, Medilink UK, BITE CIC and M4 Technologies.
The services and support the KTN offers include: networking; identifying clinical need; knowledge of the market and key organisations; brokerage of new partnerships and business opportunities; identification of government schemes to support progression through the innovation pipeline; International networking; and informing on national initiatives and opportunities.
