Standard symbols for welding, brazing and non-destructive examination
This standard defines the method for passing instructions on a design diagram to a welder, brazer, and nondestructive tester by means of symbols. Instructions for groove, fillet, plug, slot, spot, seam, flange and stud welds, surfacing and brazing are covered. Symbols are presented to show the location, dimensions and finishing of welds and the welding, brazing or testing process to be used.

Welding. Multilingual list of terms for welding and related processes
The most commonly used welding terms are included in this trilingual standard, English, French and German terms being given in each case. The lists are organised by process or classification, the major groups being general welding terms; those related to welding with pressure; friction welding; fusion welding (welding without pressure); braze welding and brazing; testing; weld imperfections and thermal cutting. Alphabetical indexes for each of the three languages are included.
