It is therefore important thatcomputer modelling results are checked rigorously both by the analyst and by senior, qualified colleagues. Specifically, the 'NAFEMS Quality Assurance Procedures for Engineering Analysis', (Ref R0064, 1999) provides current best practice and is appropriate to the design assessment ofengineered components.
