Background

The aim of this report is to provide guidelines for the development of welding engineering software, based on experiences gained from producing a commercially available program, 'WELDGEN'. 'WELDGEN' is an expert system for generating guideline welding procedures and was developed as part of the EU259: Euroweld Eureka project. The report focuses on software development methods and quality assurance guidelines.
